Eric Johannessen, Creative Director/Owner of "Head Elf" and "Creative Director", loves Christmas, his family and creating memories for a lifetime. In 2011, Eric Johannessen decorated his Winter Park home for Christmas to create lasting memories for his children. In 2016, his desire to make his decorations bigger and brighter each year led him to create a display that was so large and bright it was featured on ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight". Today Eric and his family host over 250,000 visitors to his home each season, making it one of the biggest and best light displays in Central Florida.

It was only natural to bring his passion for Christmas light displays to the community. Starting with a charitable house display, Johannessen Lights has blossomed to hundreds of homes, HOA's, businesses and communities across Central Florida.
