The Flats on University

The new management (scicon) is the WORST company switch over the flats could’ve gone with. When I first originally signed a lease with them was back in January 2026. Around May 2026 i got an email from them prompting “we know things change, are you still good with moving in with us. Please respond to this email with your answer”. By this time i was no longer going to move in, so i responded saying “my plans have changed, and i will no longer be moving in please reach out to me with any paper work or fees i may need to pay”.

Serious Concerns about Safety and Management at The Flats (Part 1) I am not typically someone who complains online or even writes reviews, especially negative reviews. Although my experience living at The Flats was so outrageous and frustrating, I feel the need to share my thoughts here so that others do not have to endure the frustrations and concerns that I lived with for a year. Truthfully, I would give this place zero stars if that were possible. Please take a few minutes of your time to read this review if you are considering living at The Flats.

I have never been treated more disrespectfully in my life. I work 11 hour days Monday through Friday. The office is only open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. On September 10th the Flats sent out an email titled "Towing Enforcement Will Begin." The email explained how all new parking passes needed to be picked up from the building and that they would be towing cars that didn't have them. On September 10th I called the front desk while at work to speak to someone on the issue so that I could receive my parking pass.
